A unique addition to a contemporary interior, this modern rug is hand-knotted in Nepal by artisans who have collaborated with Illulian since 1959. The base (.05 cm high) is made of Himalayan wool, while the striking representation of a trompe l'oeuvre staircase oeil is made of silk (.07 cm high), creating an optical illusion of great visual impact. This 152,000 knots/m2 rug boasts a total combination of 20% silk and 80% wool.
